Alicia Keys

You may not have recognized Keys last night- she arrived wearing no make-up and a long red dress.

Her performance? Well, there was none. However, what Keys offered was an impactful speech & an a capella honoring the 53rd anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King’s, “I Have a Dream” speech.

Beyoncé

The mother of Blue Ivy nearly went through her entire Lemonade set. What’s more, Beyoncé offered some clarity on the Bey & Jay feud thanking her “incredible husband for all of (his) support.”

Kanye West

What would the VMAs be without a Kanye West rant? “I came to present my new music video, but before I do that, imma talk,” declared Kanye. But this tangent left much to be desired. Time to find a new hype-man.

Lukas Graham, “Mama Said”

Then there was Lukas Graham rocking the outdoor stage.
