AWOPBAMBOOM – Vol. 38
Music 4 Music People

***

From international tunes to What a Time To Be Alive, here’s what’s orbiting our musical universe this week.

***

Cro, “Du”

Pause, take a sec, recall your favorite summer memory while jamming to Carlo “Cro” Wallbel’s 2012 German hit, then shed a tear now that autumn is officially upon us. Try a pumpkin-spiced-something to make yourself feel better.

Father John Misty, “Blank Space” (Taylor Swift cover)

Father John Misty’s managed to pull off a defying scheme by creating his own rendition of Ryan Adams’ cover of Taylor Swift’s, “Blank Space.” Yeah, you read that right; it’s a cover of a cover, and it could be the first of its kind.

Ryan Adams, “Blank Space” (Taylor Swift cover)

Now, the original cover. Misty allegedly released his cover, among others, as a sign of disapproval towards Adams.’ We love them both, thanks gents!

Coeur De Pirate, Roses

Roses dropped on August 28th of the current calendar year. The bilingual artist out of Quebec, Canada, enchants the masses in English and French, aided by keen percussion accompaniment.

***

Bryson Tiller, “Don’t”

Bryson Tiller’s got the R&B game on lock with this jam. If we were musicians we’d be scared to release another song while Bryson’s on the scene.

***

Jane Bordeaux

A little Israeli folk to lighten the mood for ya. Note the use of tambourine; it’s a lost art nowadays.

Future ft. Drake, What a Time To Be Alive

“It’s a little soundtrack for people that need it right now,” Drake.  The 11-track album is technically Future’s but Drake’s got his fingerprints all over it. Exclusive to iTunes and Apple Music, we couldn’t bring you the full set-list but it’s worth the $10 purchase.
