It’s Halloween drink time – Liquid Lab NYC tells us how to make a Jack-O-Lantern Flip!

Looking for that perfect beverage this Halloween? We may have just what you’re thirstin’ for.

The following two drink recipes — the Kiss of Death and the Jack-O-Lantern Flip — come courtesy of the mixology masters at Liquid Lab NYC.

1. KISS OF DEATH

INGREDIENTS

1.5 oz. – Gin

0.5 oz. – Creme de Violette

0.5 oz. – Fresh Lemon Juice

2 Dashes – Lavender Bitters

DIRECTIONS

Shake all ingredients. Strain into champagne glass or coup and top with Champagne or Prosecco.

Garnish with an edible orchid if available or lemon twist.

2. JACK-O-LANTERN FLIP

INGREDIENTS

One Egg White (optional; dry shake the egg white with no ice in your shaker until it begins to froth and then set aside.)

Then add…

2.0 oz. – Rum

1.0 oz. – Pumpkin Spice Syrup

0.5 oz. – Fresh Lemon Juice

1.0 oz. – Pineapple

DIRECTIONS

Shake all ingredients (including egg white) until consistency is frothy and shaker is cold to the touch and strain over fresh ice in a rocks glass (double strain in a tea strainer if available).

Garnish with nutmeg dusting and orange rind; rind in the above photo is cut with a “waffler” for a unique checkerboard effect.
