Join in on the summer fun as more than a dozen international and domestic tall ships sail in for Tall Ships Philadelphia Camden 2015.
From June 25-28, 2015, the waterfronts of Philadelphia and Camden will create the perfect venue for a myriad of festival attractions and of course, tall ships — affording visitors the rare chance to catch a glimpse, step aboard, and even set sail on some of the grandest ships of yore.
You can buy tickets online or call 877-4FLY-TIX.
Tall Ships® Philadelphia Camden will showcase over a dozen domestic and international ships, including some of the most acclaimed worldwide, including the US Coast Guard vessel Barque Eagle, French vessel L’Hermione (above), Brazilian vessel Cisne Branco, Canadian Barque Picton Castle (below), and Gazela – Philadelphia’s official Tall Ship.
A Multi-Day On Board Ship Tour Pass is available for $19. The pass provides four-day access to the festival grounds, on board ship tours and countless activities in both Philadelphia and Camden.
In addition to onboard tours, Tall Ships® Philadelphia Camden will offer the opportunity for visitors to sail on the Delaware River aboard a few grand ships. Each vessel will sail several times daily. Cost for each Day Sail ticket is $85.
Other ticket options include:
- A Parade of Sail ticket, which allows purchasers the opportunity to sail along the Delaware River to the festival site at Philadelphia and Camden aboard a Tall Ship for $150 as part of their grand entrance at the beginning of the event.
- A Single-Day On-Board Tour Pass is available for $12. This pass provides one-day access to tour tall ships and the festival grounds on each side of the river.
While getting up close and personal with Tall Ships® is exciting in and of itself, this unique event offers more than playing Master & Commander.
Loads of entertainment will pack the waterfront with an eclectic taste of music that includes rock, jazz, Sea Shanty, Big Band, Country and dance.
Education and children’s activities are a large part of the Tall Ships® Philadelphia Camden festival. Cannon demonstrations, an authentic privateer encampment, real sword fighting with live steel, knot tying, weapon demonstrations, and sail training with real tall ship rigging round out the impressive festival’s learning opportunities.
Of course a festival of this magnitude would not be complete without a large selection of fantastic fare; a bevy of local options will be on hand including a craft beer garden. After loading up on provisions, check out local, regional, and national crafters. These hand-made creations will feature a wide variety of crafts including maritime-themed artwork.
Tall Ships® Philadelphia Camden is made possible by a partnership of four great Delaware waterfront organizations: the Delaware River Waterfront Corporation, Coopers Ferry, Adventure Aquarium, Independence Seaport Museum, and Draw Events LLC; as well as the event sponsors.
Tall Ships® Philadelphia Camden 2015 takes place rain or shine. No ticket refunds or exchanges. Tickets are non-transferable. Your ticket does not guarantee access to all ships at all times. Prices include all applicable fees and taxes.
