1. If you could meet anyone in the world, who would you want to meet? And why?

If there is someone I would love to meet it would be Amal. She is a world-renowned human rights attorney, a fashion icon and Lebanese like me. I feel like she doesn’t let her celebrity get in the way of her mission, which is to help others.

2. Who or what influences your personal style?

My style is pretty timeless and classic. As for my style influences, I love Audrey Hepburn, Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, Coco Chanel and Victoria Beckham.

3. Favorite designer and why?

Coco Chanel. Her style is timeless, classic and fabulous. As she said “A girl should be two things: classy and fabulous.”

4. What does fashion mean to you?

To me, fashion means being timeless. I love classic styles that will I could wear today, tomorrow or 10 years from now.

5. Proudest career moment?

My proudest career moment when I was sent to Afghanistan to cover our troops in Operation Enduring Freedom and had the privilege of bringing their stories home back to their families.

6. What do you want to accomplish in the next year?

I am excited about publishing my book – The New Single  – that speaks to women about how to emerge from a big life change with confidence, grace and I provide a recipe for self-care.

7. If you weren’t a journalist what would you want to be and why?

I would want to be on Broadway! I love live theatre. I love the passion behind performance and the fact that some shows have a message that could last forever. Broadway, in my opinion, is the heart of New York City.

8. Best dining experience you’ve ever had?

I have a favorite restaurant in the West Village – Bar Pitti. I love the first time it gets warm each year and the tables are pulled out to the sidewalk. I still remember the first time I was there 10 years ago when I moved to New York City. After a decade, it still excites me to go back for amazing Italian food and a great espresso.

9. Favorite vacation spot and hotel?

My favorite vacation spot in Asti, Piedmont Italy and my favorite hotel is Rotarius B & B. It is a B & B and in word just one suite right in the middle a medieval tower. Yes, it is amazing. It is the work of architect Elisabetta Tovo and it is a place that I can’t wait to return to.

10. Three items that can always be found in your handbag?

  1. Nars Lip Gloss, Orgasm – I can’t live without it!
  2. Raw Almonds & a GoMacro Macro Bar
  3. My iPhone charger! A must have!
