When I asked my African colleagues where I should go to see the real Africa, towns, markets, culture, food… I was told to go to Senegal.
With the last two-and-a-half hours we had left in Senegal the following day, we rushed to the Golf Club and had one of the most amazing games ever.
There was no need to leave the gates of paradise. But I wanted to be free, to explore, see what was outside the gates… So we took a walk.
We arrived at the Saloum Delta, where the Saloum River meets the Atlantic, and were escorted to Lodge des Collines de Niassam, a mini-paradise in Palmarin.
We checked into the Ocean Bay Hotel on the seaside resort town of the Gambia called Cape Point, near the high-end diplomatic residences.
