A long, beautifully shot cat and mouse chase, Heat occasionally veers off course, but it’s still one of the best capers ever to grace the screen.

Gary Oldman, as screenwriter Herman J. Mankiewicz, dials it up another notch again, and the cast around him never lets him falter.
