A lot of 80s movies haven’t aged well. This high school dramedy – screenplayed by Cameron Crowe – is timeless.

The soundtrack, ensemble acting and tight script are like the tastiest of waves… and you can’t surf it enough.

For a laugh, watch a well-known group of actors doing a 2020 table read of the movie to raise money for COVID relief efforts.

And for movie lovers, the Criterion Collection is issuing a special version of the film in May of 2021.
