Forever I Do – Talking Valentine’s Day with Country Singer Justin Fabus

***

Country music singer Justin Fabus has released a sweet love song called “Forever I Do” just in time for Valentine’s Day.

It’s a tender-hearted tune dusted with piano and violin accompaniment – and it was specially written for his fiance, Court TV anchor Julie Grant.

Below Justin tells us about his new song while answering some of our Valentine’s Day-related questions.

***

1. Tell us about your song “Forever I Do.”

It’s the first single off my upcoming EP. I recently got engaged and I wrote it as a love letter to my fiancée.

2. Any tips for people who’d like to write a love song? And should their songs be a little more country or a little bit more rock n’ roll?

It should be anything and anyway they want it, as long as it’s from the heart. A love song is all about how you feel about something or someone. It should come easy, especially since you’re expressing your love. In the end, it doesn’t really matter if you’re expressing the song through country, rock, hip-hop or R&B.

3. Other than any of your tunes, what is the top love song ever written? And why?

That’s such a hard question. Wow! There are so many, but one is “Stand By Me” by Ben E. King. You feel every single word he sings, while he’s expressing that no matter what happens in this crazy world, I’ll be okay with you by my side.

4. What, in your opinion, is the greatest romantic movie ever made? And why?

Another hard question! I think one of the greatest romantic movies ever is definitely “Say Anything.” It doesn’t get more romantic than John Cusack standing outside the woman he loves house holding a boom box over his head while it plays Peter Gabriel’s “In Your Eyes.”

5. Tell us about your worst or strangest Valentine’s Day and your most favorite one.

Worst Valentine’s Day I would have to say was when I was in 9th grade. I gave the girl I was dating a kitten on Valentine’s Day and a few days later she dumped me. A few days after that I heard the cat ran away. My favorite Valentine’s Day — hands down — was this past year’s. It was the first Valentine’s Day I got to spend with my now fiancée.

6. What advice would you give someone who doesn’t have a date on Valentine’s Day?

The best advice I could give is although you may not have one this year, the good news is you have 365 days to find one for next year. That’s a lot of days to maybe find the love of your life.

7. Flowers? Chocolates? Lingerie? What is the best gift to give on Valentine’s Day?

I would have to say none of those three. Flowers die. Too much chocolate will make you sick. And lingerie is over rated. The best gift to gift someone is your time. That gift is priceless.

8. Before we end, what do you love most about being a singer?

I love that I’m able to sing songs I wrote that have the opportunity to make people happy.

***

9. What’s been your biggest accomplishment to date? And what do you hope is to come?

My biggest accomplishment to date is that I’m blessed enough to have fans that support my music and have supported me for so many years. I hope that 2020 is the biggest year yet.

10. And, finally, is there anything else you’d like to add or discuss?

I can’t wait for people to hear “Forever I Do” and to hit the road later this year.
