1. What is your earliest musical memory?

I remember my mum showing me how to use the home HiFi system for the first time, the CD in there at the time was Michael Jacksons “Dangerous” album and I remember being obsessed with the track “Heal the World,” must’ve listened to it a good 20 times in a row.

2. What has been your most embarrassing musical moment?

I’ve had many failed stage dives, like the School of Rock intro, one day I’ll get the hang of it.

3. What do you like and dislike about touring?

Love everything about it apart from Laundry Day, trying to find a launderette is usually the first hurdle I stumble at.

4. What is your favorite record store, anywhere in the world?

Amoeba Records is pretty ridiculous, I could happily get lost in there.

5. Other than your own music, what is your favorite song or album of all-time? Why?

Burt Bacharach’s “South American Getaway” It’s such an incredible composition and a real roller-coaster track. It always baffles me when I listen to it, I try and put myself in his shoes and think about how I’d even begin to approach composing it, but I don’t think anyone other than him ever could.

6. You wake up in a seedy Berlin hotel room with no recollection of the past 96 hours. Who is your first call?

Room service.
