We saw this year’s Governors Ball line-up and we were intrigued.

The reason? We weren’t so familiar with many of the bands.

We thought you might feel the same so we put to together three playlists for you.

Below is our Day 1 Mix, which highlights heart-felt rap, pulsating trap, alt-pop dap and our ever-increasing age gap.

After listening to all three mixes, we kind of want to buy  tickets to this festival. We’ve been once before to a Governors Ball when it was on Randall’s Island. But this festival seems more daring and skewered to much younger audiences — and, well, we want to be younger and au courant.

That’s what the kids say these days, “Au courant,” right?
