The students occupied Central Park West on a sunny cool March 24th. A shame kids four through 18 needed the street to voice, as their playground agenda is never loud enough for serious consideration. These faces and carried posters tell of a society unable to safely care for their young, the generations coming of age. An age discerning “I AM NEXT” at a time life’s hopes and dreams should suffice. These souls, new to the street’s voice pictured here, are now astute to where their voice descends. With only months away their vote, more so now then ever, will be a recon to deal with, for some have experienced the safety of a dark closet. Not unlike the school safety drills of a by-gone nuclear age — only difference, it is from our own community they seek safe refuge… for 6.5 minutes.
