“Great grandfather, grandfather, father, me,” responded the gentlemen in Image 4 (below). The 99th New York City Veterans Day Parade marched up Fifth Avenue to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Armistice signing, ending WWI. Pictures led the way, carried by loved ones. Every size, race, and creed paid homage to the greatest sacrifice for a free voice. These images pay tribute to the thousands marching on a crisp November Sunday morning, celebrating memories of those past and those marching to duty and love, this country of ours, these United States.
