NEW YORK, January 20, 2018 — To the day, a year has passed. A president’s first year foibles contemplated by signs of protest marching. Lined up from Columbus Circle along Central Park West to 86th Street, tens of thousands shout voiced demands from the past year’s issues. Pussy Hats, Black Lives Matter, Equality for All, Dreamers marched past dusk on this cool, partly sunny, New York afternoon. These photographs testify to the sign painters’ hopes, votes of reform for the midterm.
